In pursuit of the Ford Raptor, the just-announced aftermarket Lingenfelter Reaper and who knows how many other desert-stompin' pickups and SUVs, Toyota introduced the TRD Pro Series of off-road vehicle packages at the Chicago Auto Show. The Tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner each get kits designed by Toyota Racing Development that will be installed at the factory. All TRD Pro Series kits will include:
- TRD Bilstein remote-reservoir shocks
- TRD-tuned front springs
- TRD front skid plate
- A bunch of cosmetic touches like TRD floor mats and shift knobs.
The Reliant Robin has a loyal cult following that is characterized mainly by racing and funky paint jobs, but one man in England has taken the task of defending the Robin's honor to a whole new level. Rick Wagoner has been forced to step down as General Motors chairman and CEO by US President Barack Obama, as a condition of the beleaguered automaker continuing to receive state aid. Wagoner was meeting with US government officials on Friday when the request was made for him to ‘step aside’. Wagoner had been GM president and CEO since 2000, and chairman since 2003 – his resignation ends a 31-year career with a company.
